Thanksgiving Activities

We have one day left before break, and thanks to ACTFL15, I haven’t been in school since last Wednesday.  Though I left good plans for the days where I was gone, I anticipate that there will be some troubleshooting to take care of when I return.  I don’t want to start our next unit, but I don’t want fluff either.  As a result I created a pack of Thanksgiving activities (click to download) and am sharing it here out of gratitude for the amazingness that is my PLN.  Enjoy!

Introduction to Mariachi Music

We are reading some material this week that refers to mariachi music–a topic unfamiliar to most of my students. I prepared a brief slide show about mariachi music to share with students and to get them talking about the music they enjoy.  You can see the show below.
